Preliminary Task Two - Final Edit.

Here is my Final Edit. The After Effects that I have used in my film include the following: Our Production logo that is shown at the very beginning of the film, this is counted as one of my after effects as I took time to Update the logo from the original to what it is now. As you can see the difference when you watch my Preliminary Task One and then my Preliminary Task Two.  My Other After Effects used is the credits, when the names 'Niav Rice' & 'Pheobe Armitage', this after effect is called a slow fade animation on letters. An extra After Effect I added was a 'Glitch' On one of my actors, this one is not visible at first but you can definitely see the glitch, this Effect is used 0:25 seconds into the short film.

Representation Essay: 'Downton Abbey'

In the short clip, extracted from the film ‘Downton Abbey’ contrasts wealth and status, throughout the clip, shown through the relationship between both the wealthy class, and the maids/workers. As an audience you can definitely tell who the wealthy class is, through the way they talk and order the maids around, in contrast you can tell who the maids are by the clothes they wear. There is also this sense of ‘status’ with the maids as well, in that there are some maids who have a slightly higher status than other maids. We can see this clearly through the eyes of the camera, with the way that the camera switches and cuts between the two types of status’. We can also see this through the types of clothes they wear, the wealthy wearing elegant clothing, and the maids wearing typical black and dull ‘working’ clothes, such as aprons and black dresses that look presentable in front of other people (costumes). You can also tell the difference in status by the Mise-en-scene shown in the film,...

Preliminary Task Two - Draft Edit

Here is my draft edit. What I still need to finish/add: Audio  Credits What my peers thought of it: Good editing techniques - disjointed feel Nice blend of sounds Good sound effects Some sound is out of sync with footage Some blurry footage - check quality Add in background sounds - frying of food Good logo Need credits  Title needs attention

Preliminary Task Two Update:

So far my group and I have been up to date with what has been needed to do, we have finished our Filming. Overall our filming went as planned, we all turned up on time, and we got straight into filming. We decided to try and get all our filming done in the holidays so that when we got back to school we could get straight into editing. We finished all our filming in less than an hour, we took no breaks and just filmed through the whole thing. Everything ran smoothly until we realized that we didn't have our sound kit, so in all our filming we didn't have any sound. So for our editing, we have also got to try and edit in dialogue to fit in with our film.

Props & Costumes:

Props & Costumes: Props: For our props we will be using a cooking knife, like the following: This knife will be used by the vulnerable girl as she cooks her food. The scene will be set up in this sort of setting:  There will also be a phone that is used by the vulnerable girl and the intruder.  The phone will look like these ones shown below: The above are all the props used in our film.  Costumes: For the vulnerable girl she will be wearing 'home' like clothes. She will look a bit like the following exempla's: She will look like a casual teen-girl who is home alone doing her own thing. For the intruder they will be wearing all black, a black hoodie and black pants, almost like the following: By Mele Leaaetalafoou

Treatment:

A TREATMENT FOR “ READY OR NOT // HERE I COME “  ____________________________________ Prepared by KPM Productions and Mele Leaaetalafoou 13/04/2021 … It is proposed that the film will be 1 to 2 Minutes long, and it will be filmed in Coatesville. We have chosen this location because it is the best location that fits our story line, it is easily accessible by everyone in our team. This film will include the following conventions of thriller films:   Symbolism & Iconography - The girl's clothing will be white and ‘home-like’ linking to her innocence and vulnerability. The man’s clothing will be black symbolizing darkness, and cruelty linking to what his role is in the film.  Sound - In the beginning of the film we will have soft music and maybe the diegetic sound of the girl in her house, as the story goes along the music will build getting more and more suspenseful as the tension in the film builds. When the Kidnapping happens the music will be very intense, ma...
