Foundation Portfolio - Final Edit

Foundation Portfolio - After Effects

Here are a few examples from After Effects that I will be incorporating into my short film:

Foundation Portfolio - Draft Edit

Peer Feedback: Opening establishing shots need smoother transitions. Credits from opening shot. Consistency of transitions. After effects for Credits. Add different music.  Take out first shot of masked man. Music change. Cool Establishing shots. Maybe put the title at the end. Music to fade out in the end, go quieter. Like the font of the names. You've made the film more scary than what it is. Like the music for thee stablishing shots. Love the font title. Transition could match the music Cross-dissolve My Thoughts on Peer Feedback: I agree with alot of the Feedback that I have been given, and will consider taking them into account. I definitely will be changing and using the following: Changing/Using a different Transition from the cliche 'fade to black'. eg : Cross-disolve Changing the music when it comes to building up the suspence. Put the Credits in the Opening shots. Smoothen out the transistions.

Location:

Foundation Portfolio Location: Our location for our Foundation Portfolio is based in a workshop, a sort of isolated area where no one but the owner knows is. This adds to the suspense of our film and creates a sense of 'mystery'. Here are a few photo's of where we will be filming: These photo's is where we will locate all if not most of our shots. These locations fit the story line, with the almost isolated area and darkness, also linking to the fact that the guy hides her at a workshop, these locations both look like good locations to film this.  By Mele Leaaetalafoou.

Rationale:

Rationale For Foundation Portfolio:  Scene One:  ( Boards 1 - 6 , Story Boards ) Scene One starts with establishing shots of the location. The camera will be doing close-ups and wide shots on certain things within the workshop. This will slowly set the scene, giving the audience time to gage and have an idea of what might be happening. At this point the audiences ideas may vary as they will not yet be introduced to any characters. For this scene there will be low lighting to add to the suspense, the hand held camera may be a bit unsteady, but not too shaky for the audience to notice. For the editing of this scene we will try and make them quick shots and add a blurry affect to them. Putting the audience at an edge of what's happening and engaging them with the film, making them want to watch more.  Scene Two:  ( Boards 7 , Story Boards )  Scene Two will be where we introduce a character from the short film. This will be the Hostage. We will show her alrea...
