Opening Sequences, Preliminary Task Two

Thriller Opening Sequences: by Mele Leaaetalafoou

Comments

  1. Hi Mele

    Overall Score: 12/20

    - you have selected 3 thriller movies and given us the sub-genre for each film
    - you have effectively communicated how each film's opening sequence starts and provided a basic narrative
    - to get higher marks, you needed to look at each of the 4 technical elements (sound , mise-en- scene, editing and camera), analyse what you see / hear and explain how this engages the audience as a thriller.
You had elements of this in your research but not in detail enough, using technical film language enough, to core a higher grade.

Preliminary Task Two - Final Edit.

Here is my Final Edit. The After Effects that I have used in my film include the following: Our Production logo that is shown at the very beginning of the film, this is counted as one of my after effects as I took time to Update the logo from the original to what it is now. As you can see the difference when you watch my Preliminary Task One and then my Preliminary Task Two.  My Other After Effects used is the credits, when the names 'Niav Rice' & 'Pheobe Armitage', this after effect is called a slow fade animation on letters. An extra After Effect I added was a 'Glitch' On one of my actors, this one is not visible at first but you can definitely see the glitch, this Effect is used 0:25 seconds into the short film.
