The Above Films are all Disney that were the top Three, as well as being listed in the top 15. The second group is the Overall Studio Market Share and as you can see Disney is the top, not only the top by a little bit, but it top by  9.7% difference, which is over double the amount of the second highest. Over time Disney has grown drastically over the past 25 years.

Total Assets: 

A huge Portion of this growth can be attributed to them making some strategic acquisitions. The biggest of which was a $71 billion dollar acquisition involving Twenty-First Century Fox's that was finalized on March 20th 2019.

Significant Acquisitions made by Disney over the past 25 years:

• 1993  -  Miramax   -  $60 Million. 

In 1993 Disney bought the independent company Miramax for $60 Million and really helped turn them into something, Under their control they made movies like: 

- Scream

- Armageddon 

- Chicago ( A best Picture Winner )

- No Country for Old Men 

All the films listed above we're all technically Disney films, they let Miramax do their thing but they took in the money from them and they had final say in things, after owning it for 17 years they decided to sell it in 2010 the collection of films they built up over that time helped make it much more valuable than when they bought it they ended up selling it for $660 Million Dollars. 

• 1995  -  Capital Cities  -  $19 Billion 

Ten years earlier Capital Cities had bought the network ABC who was already the majority owner of ESPN. So all the control that Capital Cities had went to Disney. 

• 2001  -  Fox Family  -  $2.9 Billion

When Disney bought Fox Family, they Re-named it to ABC Family, and as of Early 2016 the name has been changed to Freeform, but Disney still owns it.

• 2004  -  The Muppets  -   price not disclosed - $78 Million

The deal included the rights to use Kirmet the Frog and Miss Piggy and all of those Characters, but didn't include the rights to the Sesame Street gang.

• 2006  -  Pixar  -  $7.4 Billion
