  • Warner Bros.               -  16.3%
  • Universal                     -  14.9%
  • Sony/Columbia           -   10.9%
  • 20th Century Fox        -   9.1%
The Above Films are all Disney that were the top Three, as well as being listed in the top 15. The second group is the Overall Studio Market Share and as you can see Disney is the top, not only the top by a little bit, but it top by  9.7% difference, which is over double the amount of the second highest. Over time Disney has grown drastically over the past 25 years.

Total Assets:

A huge Portion of this growth can be attributed to them making some strategic acquisitions. The biggest of which was a $71 billion dollar acquisition involving Twenty-First Century Fox's that was finalized on March 20th 2019.

Significant Acquisitions made by Disney over the past 25 years:
  • 1993  -  Miramax   -  $60 Million.
In 1993 Disney bought the independent company Miramax for $60 Million and really helped turn them into something, Under their control they made movies like:
- Scream
- Armageddon
- Chicago ( A best Picture Winner )
- No Country for Old Men
All the films listed above we're all technically Disney films, they let Miramax do their thing but they took in the money from them and they had final say in things, after owning it for 17 years they decided to sell it in 2010 the collection of films they built up over that time helped make it much more valuable than when they bought it they ended up selling it for $660 Million Dollars.

  • 1995  -  Capital Cities  -  $19 Billion
Ten years earlier Capital Cities had bought the network ABC who was already the majority owner of ESPN. So all the control that Capital Cities had went to Disney.

  • 2001  -  Fox Family  -  $2.9 Billion
When Disney bought Fox Family, they Re-named it to ABC Family, and as of Early 2016 the name has been changed to Freeform, but Disney still owns it.

  • 2004  -  The Muppets  -   price not disclosed - $78 Million
The deal included the rights to use Kirmet the Frog and Miss Piggy and all of those Characters, but didn't include the rights to the Sesame Street gang.

  • 2006  -  Pixar  -  $7.4 Billion
At that point Pixar had yet to create anything considered even close to a failure, it was six great films:
    - Toy Story
    - A bugs life
    - Toy Story 2
    - Monsters Inc.
    - Finding Nemo
    - The Incredibles

With Cars on the way they had always worked closely together as far as financing and distribution but here they decided to come together entirely, it was actually in a time where Disney was having a little trouble with their animated movies, so a deal like this would have helped things.
Steve Jobs was the majority owner of  Pixar so this deal made him Disney's largest Stakeholder.
  • 2009  -  Marvel  -  $4 Billion
The most attractive part of this deal was the 5 Thousand Characters that they would receive the right to, there were some major Characters that Marvel had sold before the Acquisition which included Spider Man, X-Men Characters and The Fantastic Four. So they didn't get those Characters but they sure had a lot of good ones, because of this they had the freedom to create an entire Cinematic universe.
  • 2012  -  Lucasfilm  -  $4 Billion
Which is the Owner of the Starwars Franchise, that was fully owned by Starwars creator, George Lucas. This deal made George Lucas the Second Largest Shareholder of Disney, behind only the trust of the now diseased Steve Jobs. George Lucas had been the main guy behind the Original trilogy and the prequels all made under his ownership. Everything that's been made since the acquisition starting with the force awakens has not really involved George Lucas and has been made by Disney.
  • 2019  -  Fox  -  $71.3 Billion

Preliminary Task Two - Final Edit.

Here is my Final Edit. The After Effects that I have used in my film include the following: Our Production logo that is shown at the very beginning of the film, this is counted as one of my after effects as I took time to Update the logo from the original to what it is now. As you can see the difference when you watch my Preliminary Task One and then my Preliminary Task Two.  My Other After Effects used is the credits, when the names 'Niav Rice' & 'Pheobe Armitage', this after effect is called a slow fade animation on letters. An extra After Effect I added was a 'Glitch' On one of my actors, this one is not visible at first but you can definitely see the glitch, this Effect is used 0:25 seconds into the short film.
