Logo Research.

Logo Companies:

  • Warner Bros:
Warner Bros was Founded on the 4th of April 1923
Warner Bros was Founded by the Warner Brothers, Jack L. Warner, Sam Warner, Harry Warner, and Albert Warner. Their Head Office was in Burback, California, United States.

  • DreamWorks:
The DreamWorks logo features a boy sitting on a crescent moon while fishing. The general idea for the logo was the idea of company co-founder Steven Spielberg, who wanted a CGI image. Illustrator Robert Hunt was commissioned to execute the idea as a painting, and he used his son as the model.

The DreamWorks logo was founded originally as a painting in 1986 but made into a computerized Logo in 1994

For our own Logo, I had to create it, and it took a really long time, I had to go through a process of Photoshopping the Picture, and then using After Effects to create a nice Effect to the Logo.

Here are a few photo's from the Original Look of the Photo, to how I edited it:

Original Photo:

I then Photoshopped It so that the background was transparent so that I could use just the Image of just the Eagle.

I then Photoshopped this Title, so that I could also include it in the Logo.
KPM Productions is the name of our Production, KPM stands for the first letter of all the names of our team. K for Kevin, P for Porcia and M for Mele.

First Edited Logo:

This was the First Version of our Edited Logo, as you can see the Title was not finished yet, and so did not show properly on the screen. This was a rushed version of the Logo, as I did not have the experience of creating a Logo, and so I took a bit of time making it. The Eagle transforming onto the screen worked well, and took most of my time making.

Final Edited Logo:

Her the Logo has improved drastically, everything has been made bigger, and I have added an effect to the Title, 'KPM Productions'.

Audience & Institutions Essay:

"Audiences are not concerned with where media texts come from." To what extent do you agree with this? I n the film industry the majority of the Audiences are not concerned with where the media text comes from. But there are still a few that are, so this statement can vary in the film industry. The film industry consists of many different film companies, Disney, Paramount, Columbia, Warners Bros and Universal Pictures being the big Conglomerates of the film industry. These Conglomerates then acquire the smaller film companies who are then called the subsidiaries. These Conglomerates are the Oligopolies of the film industry, Oligopolies being ‘a small number of conglomerates that have the monopoly in the film industry’.  Disney, being one of these conglomerates, is a good example of a film company who has to aid to the wants of certain audiences because a particular audience was concerned with the media text of certain films. This audience being the Chinese communist governm...

Greys Anatomy Essay

This short film from  Greys Anatomy Shows the core representational groups of Ethnicity and Gender/Equality. Ethnicity is seen through the different ethnicity of Women who are standing in the hallway supporting the Patient. Gender and Equality is then shown when the man standing at the door stops the other man. We almost think that he has been stopped because he is black, but then when we carry on watching we realise that only women are in that area at the moment and so there is obviously a reason why the men can not go in and only women are in there.  Sound helps us as an audience gain a better audience gain a better understanding of the story line shown throughout the short clip, this is seen through the Non-diegetic and Diegetic sound. When the clip starts we hear the diegetic sound of the hospital, as everyone is going about their day. This is abruptly stopped with dialogue when the two men talk to each other, here the man standing guardian the door is keeping watch and m...
